This microphone will provide the same button functions as programmed on the radio’s control head.

The Keypad Microphone (HMN4079G, previously HMN4079F) is compatible with APX series 8500, 7500, 6500, 4500, and 1500.

It provides Push-To-Talk functionality and allows users to access other critical features directly from the microphone.
